Upcoming Research Paper on Protests

For our very first research paper here at the KCL Chapter, we will be analysing the process from protest to policy change in Europe and the United States. The paper will go through the steps of analysing the formation and structure of protest and the determining factors that lead to demands of protesters being honoured. The paper will take us through sections on technological, economic and political circumstances, focusing mainly on policy change through protesting in the light of these various factors. In addition, we also want to stress the value of protests as a way for people to exercise their freedoms. Therefore we focus, throughout the paper, on how government intervention can stand in the way of this essential freedom.
